Strategy Discussions/Meetings Section 6, Recording of a Strategy Discussion, a link has been added to Electronic and Digital Recording in the Initial Child Protection Conferences procedure.
Initial Child Protection Conferences Section 4, Who Should Attend? a link has been added to Law Society guidance in relation to the attendance of legal representatives. New Section 16, Electronic and Digital Recording has been added.
Child Protection Review Conferences Links have been added to information in the Initial Child Protection Conferences procedure, in relation to Electronic and Digital Recording and Law Society guidance in relation to the attendance of legal representatives.
Children Missing Education This chapter has been updated throughout in line with revised statutory guidance Children Missing Education (September 2016).
Children Moving Across Boundaries This chapter has been updated, in Section 3.4, Moving Abroad, a link has been added to the form to be used by local authority staff to ask the authorities in another country for information or assistance in a child protection case, via the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit.
Agency Roles and Responsibilities

This chapter has been updated. Added in to Section 4, Specific Roles and Responsibilities of Agencies, Ofsted Guidance, Inspecting Safeguarding in Early Years, Education and Skills Settings 2016, imposed a requirement for childcare settings to have a 'Deputy' Safeguarding Lead. The guidance means that early years settings are required to have an alternative member of staff to take on the responsibility if the safeguarding lead is not present, to ensure appropriate cover at all times of day.

Harmful Sexual Behaviour This chapter deals with sexual behaviours expressed by children and young people under the age of 18 years old that are developmentally inappropriate, may be harmful towards self or others, or be abusive towards another child, young person or adult.
